Without exception, every woman wants to have beautiful and well-groomed hair. Since ancient times, shiny, long and thick strands testified to the health of their owner and were one of the most valuable attributes of true female beauty.

Living in a modern metropolis, we constantly expose our hair to the effects of harmful environmental factors. Dust and dry air, ultraviolet radiation, and car exhaust gases have a bad effect on their health. In addition, they often lack proper nutrition, care and care. Because of all this, over time, the curls become brittle and dull, they can begin to split and fall, irritation and dandruff appear.

Colorless henna can cope with all these problems. This cosmetic product is produced from the leaves and stems of cassia stupid, and it has truly wonderful properties.

What is it for?

Henna, familiar to all, dyeing hair in a copper-red color is made from the leaves of such a plant as lawsonia is non-prickly. In addition to the pronounced coloring properties used for hair and mehendi body painting, this powder has long been used in medicine as a disinfecting and regenerating agent. From it make masks for nails and skin.

Colorless henna is not very similar to the usual one despite the similarity in the name. The powder of these plants looks almost the same, but acts differently. The product obtained from cassia does not stain, but it has a powerful positive effect on the skin and hair. The plant is rich in rare and extremely useful substances, thanks to which it has been used since time immemorial. And now it is popular when used as a mask for the face, hands and body, and especially for hair. It serves to strengthen, restore and nourish hair and scalp, copes with problems such as excessive fat, dandruff and damage to the structure of the curls.

Colorless henna owes all its useful properties to its unique composition.

It is surprising that a plant growing in the desert in the harsh conditions of lack of water and nutrients can have such a rich and valuable composition. The following are included in the number of useful ingredients in Cassia:

Chrysophanol - A natural antiseptic that fights fungi and microbes. Due to its anti-inflammatory action and the effect on harmful microorganisms, it works excellently in the treatment of seborrhea, as well as dandruff as its external manifestation. In addition, it helps cleanse pus and heals the wounds of the epidermis. Due to its color it may have a slight coloring effect.

Emodin responsible for imparting a natural shine to the curls, after a sufficient exposure time, its effect is similar to lamination of the hair.

Aloe emodin Excellent effect on the process of hair growth, stimulates the growth of old and the appearance of new hairs.

Carotene promotes healing of problematic hair, restores the structure of the hair shaft, prevents breaking, falling out, section of the tips.

Betaine is a popular component of various products for the care of dry, dyed and damaged strands. It has a tremendous moisturizing effect.

Ceaxanthin is a powerful prevention of hair loss and a means to combat it.

Rutin helps to strengthen the hair follicles, which increases the life of each hair and prevents them from falling out.

Physal It is also antimycotic and eliminates one of the causes of seborrhea and skin irritation.

Cosmetic colorless henna does not contain vitamin and mineral complexes that are usual for our usual plants. In addition, each substance is useful and especially. Due to the fact that they are rare in our latitudes, they become even more valuable because it is almost impossible to get them from some other product.

With proper use and completion of the full course of treatment with colorless henna, you can significantly improve the hair, give it shine, strength and thickness.

Colorless henna

Colorless henna is an environmentally friendly natural product obtained from a lawson plant by grinding its dry stems into powder. Unlike ordinary henna, painted in red color, and obtained from the leaves of the same plant, colorless henna does not change the color of the hair, but it also has no less useful properties.

So, using colorless henna for hair can significantly improve their appearance, structure and overall condition.

One of the main advantages of the use of this tool is to strengthen, restore and substantially thicken the hair shaft. As a result, the curls become thicker, lively and shiny.

And the ability of colorless henna to smooth the scales of hair, as if enveloping it with an invisible film, makes it just a means of salvation for splitting, damaged and brittle hair.

If you want to improve the condition of your hair, special attention should be paid to shampoos that you use. A frightening figure - in 97% of shampoos of famous brands are substances that poison our body. The main components, due to which all the troubles, on the labels are designated as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, coco sulfate. These chemicals destroy the structure of the hair, the hair becomes brittle, lose elasticity and strength, the color fades. But the worst thing is that this filth enters the liver, heart, lungs, accumulates in the organs and can cause cancer. We advise against using the means in which these substances are located. Recently, experts of our editorial staff conducted an analysis of sulfate-free shampoos, where the first place was taken by funds from the company Mulsan Cosmetic. The only manufacturer of all-natural cosmetics. All products are manufactured under strict quality control and certification systems. We recommend to visit the official online store mulsan.ru. If you doubt the naturalness of your cosmetics, check the expiration date, it should not exceed one year of storage.

It is even believed that the effect of applying colorless henna several times is equivalent to the effect of such a salon procedure as lamination.

Another important property of colorless henna is its ability to prevent and stop hair loss, as well as stimulate blood circulation in the scalp, thereby awakening dormant hair follicles.

In particular, it helps to cope with dandruff, and with both dry and oily, soothe the scalp, relieve inflammation, itching and irritation.

In addition to all of the above, the product has a nourishing, and at the same time a gentle cleansing and peeling action, and can be used as a natural shampoo.

Based on everything, we can conclude that for the return of beauty and health of hair, it is not necessary to spend a lot of money on expensive salon procedures. In most cases, colorless henna does no worse.

Weakened, thin, dull, brittle and lifeless, poorly growing and falling hair literally "reborn" after its regular use.

The use of colorless henna for hair

Hair is a decoration of man. Not only women dream of healthy and beautiful hair. Unfortunately, not many of those who foster natural remedies are known that would not dye their hair. It is easy for those who prefer to change their color, but for those who are satisfied with the natural, especially for blondes and blondes, in this regard is much more difficult. However, a tool that does not color the hair, of course, exists - nature has provided everything. Colorless henna is a herb that, while strengthening hair, does not change their color.

Usually colorless henna is sold in sachets (ask at pharmacies and cosmetic stores), which are recommended to be used once. The fact is that when opening the package, the powder spoils quite quicklyand loses its beneficial properties.

Basically, the instruction for the breeding of colorless henna powder is written on the bag. As a rule, the powder is poured with such a quantity of boiling water that when stirred it forms an average slurry thickness. The resulting and slightly cooled mass should be applied to the hair.

Now how to use colorless henna

After you have spread the powder and obtained the necessary consistency, apply the composition to the hair, rubbing it well into the scalp and roots, and evenly spreading along the whole length of the strands. You can do this procedure both on clean and dirty curls. After, as in the application of homemade hair masks, it is recommended to wrap the head with plastic wrap and wrap it with a warm towel on top.

The first times the application will be enough to hold the product on the hair for 25-30 minutes. In subsequent times, the holding time can be gradually increased to the 1st hour.

As mentioned above, colorless henna has a mild cleansing property, and acts to some extent also as a shampoo, so you can wash it off just with water. But if you feel that your hair is not washed enough, then wash off the henna, washing my head as usual, using shampoo and balsam.

What else can be said about the technology of applying colorless henna for hair is the fact that you can not limit yourself in experiments. So, instead of boiling water, the powder can be diluted with hot broths and infusions from various medicinal herbs, and various ingredients can be added to the resulting mass, ranging from essential and vegetable oils to other natural products.

Colorless henna hair masks

Colorless henna masks are effective and without the addition of any ingredients.

Any recipes for homemade masks are a recommendation, not a clear indication of the action, and, in addition, due to the individuality of the hair structure, you should choose the components that are right for you. You need to try and choose the best option.

Colorless henna for hair serves as an excellent carrier, since It is convenient to mix it with other ingredients of popular recipes for hair. Add some other herb (chamomile, nettle, sage, calendula or burdock (chop herbs in a coffee grinder or add extracts of these herbs)), vegetable oils (sesame, Bringaradzh, almond, jojoba, make hair softer, moisturize, nourish ), essential oils (make hair fragrant and more brilliant, and also have individual effects), egg yolk, honey, kefir (strengthens hair more), etc. You can also experiment by adding vitamins A, E, crushed cereals, dimexide, clay, etc. Dimexide is a drug that makes cell membranes permeable and the drug reaches the target faster. Each component is useful in its own way.

So, it is enough to dilute 1 bag of henna powder (or the floor of the bag, depending on your hair length) with boiling water in such a proportion that a homogeneous creamy mass is obtained when stirring. The resulting and slightly cooled mass should be applied completely to all hair, paying special attention to the roots and scalp, and hold for 25-30 minutes, preferably wrapping your head with plastic wrap, and wrapping a towel over the top.

You can apply henna on both dirty and clean hair. The first few times it should not be kept on the hair for more than 30 minutes. In subsequent times, the holding time can be gradually increased to one hour.

You can wash off the mask, as with the use of shampoo, or just with water.

This mask with colorless henna is suitable for all types of hair. But especially it is recommended to do it with hair loss, in particular, with poorly growing, thin, weakened, brittle and splitting hair, as well as with dry or oily dandruff.

And, of course, you can improve the efficiency and usefulness of colorless henna masks by adding various natural products to them.

For example, henna powder itself can be diluted not only with water, but with infusions and decoctions from various herbs.

Usually herbal teas are prepared as follows: 1-2 tbsp. spoons of dry grass are poured with half a liter of boiling water, and boiled over low heat (or languished in a water bath) for about 10-15 minutes.

Next, the broth is removed from the heat, covered with a lid, left for 30 minutes, and then filtered. In the case of infusions, the same proportions of grass and water are taken, only after pouring boiling water the composition does not boil, but is simply covered with a lid, and left for 1 hour, or until complete cooling. After, again, filtered.

In principle, if you buy dry herbs in pharmaceutical packaging, then they should be written on the way of cooking.

Before breeding henna decoction or infusion must be heated to a hot state.

As for the herbs used to make homemade masks with colorless henna, then, for example, an infusion of coltsfoot, a decoction of burdock roots, and infusions of dry nettle and birch leaves are well suited to improve hair growth. To strengthen the hair, and against their loss - decoctions and infusions of hop cones, and sage.

You can easily find information on other herbs suitable for your hair type and hair features on the Internet.

If your hair is "dry" from henna

Because of the individuality of each person, it is worth noting that colorless henna, with all its positive properties, can “dry” hair for some people. But this is easily avoided if you follow some rules and recipes.

First, masks from colorless henna should be done no more than once a week (less often, and some may more often - listen carefully to your body, it always tells you what to do and how).

Secondly, to strengthen the hair is often enough to apply the mixture only on the scalp, so the hair bulb gets all the necessary substances, but at the same time henna does not get on the hair itself. But this method is not suitable for those who want to “restore” damaged hair, smooth “hair scales”, etc. To do this, you still need to nourish the hair along the entire length. Later, after you bring your hair in order, you can nourish only the hair roots.

Therefore, thirdly, you can moisturize the hair with vegetable oils (sesame, almond, jojoba, Bringaradzh, etc.). The oil can be added directly to the mixture itself, and can be applied to the hair after you wash the henna.

In this case, a little tea tree oil is added to the colorless henna. The result is an agent that relieves inflammation, normalizes sebum production and dries the skin of the face.

To lighten the freckles and give the face a dull shade, it is recommended to use colorless henna with the addition of an infusion of boric acid.

To achieve the maximum effect of applying the mask from henna, you should clean the skin before the procedure and treat it with lotion or tonic - so the mask components will be better absorbed by the skin.

  • Dilute a small amount of henna with hot water to a consistency of thick sour cream, let it stand for about 5 minutes, apply a thick layer on the whole face or on the desired area (the hotter henna, the better it expands the pores and allows the useful substances to penetrate). Hold until dry. The mask is very easy to wash off. And if the “dried” henna is diluted slightly with water, then you can rub your face and get a scrubbing effect. Just do not overdo it.

Useful tips

If you plan to use a hair mask with colorless henna, in the reviews you will find a lot of useful tips that will make the procedure even more effective. Here are some points to pay attention to:

  • Use the entire contents of the package. After opening the bag, the henna quickly loses its useful properties.
  • Blondes should be more careful. Masks of henna can give the curls a yellow, reddish or greenish tint.
  • Be sure to use a balm. A henna mask dries on the hair and muddles it. Therefore, after applying the product, the hair should be well treated with a nourishing balm or conditioner.
  • Provide extra weatherization. Wrap your head and wrap a towel, top warmed with a hairdryer. This will enhance the penetrating properties of henna.
  • The mask can be applied to both dirty and clean hair. But the second option is preferable, since the layer of sebum can prevent deep penetration of nutrients.
  • Do not use herbal powder masks more than twice a week. This may have the opposite effect.
  • Pay attention to the eyebrows. Applying a mask to the hair, distribute the remnants of the eyebrows. Also with the help of a cotton swab, you can spread the base of the eyelashes. The tool will strengthen the hairs and make them more dense.
  • Do not dye your hair after the procedure. Henna creates an invisible protective film on the curls, which can worsen the adhesion of the coloring composition to the hair shaft. Therefore, if you decide to change the image, wait a couple of weeks after the last procedure with henna.
  • Perform an allergic test. Despite the fact that henna is a safe natural remedy, the option of individual intolerance is not excluded. In addition, by applying a little on the skin of the wrist, you can make sure that henna is colorless by 100%.
  • Do not use henna masks after perm. Curls with a broken structure may respond to the procedure in unexpected ways.

Recommendations for owners of dry hair

Studying the benefits and harm of colorless henna for hair, it is worth noting that it has drying properties. Therefore, owners of dry-type hair should be cautious when using this product. Take on these tips:

  • Use henna no more than once a week. It is possible less often.
  • Apply the mixture only on the scalp. Thus, the bulbs will be saturated with nutrients, and the curls will not be overdried.
  • Add to the mixture of oil. Almond, castor, sesame and other vegetable oils will enhance the beneficial properties of henna and provide hydration of the hair shaft.

Not just for hair

Having studied the benefits of colorless henna for hair, it is worth noting another amazing feature of this tool. Due to the presence of a special acid in henna that binds collagen molecules, henna is an ideal skin care product. Herbal masks act on the epidermis as follows:

  • exfoliates dead cells
  • slows down the aging process of the skin and fights the first wrinkles,
  • deeply nourishes and tones the epidermis,
  • whitens pigment spots, freckles and acne marks,
  • smooths the structure of the epidermis and gives it a velvety,
  • suppresses inflammatory processes
  • accelerates the absorption of hematomas,
  • reduces sebum production
  • eliminates black dots
  • tightens enlarged pores
  • fights acne.

To make a mask, you need to dissolve the henna with hot water to the state of sour cream, apply on the face with a dense layer and leave until completely dry. It is important that the mask balls are hot enough (but not burning) so that under its action the pores open well and absorb as many useful substances as possible.

The choice of quality tools

One of the most popular hair products is colorless henna. Photos of the results of the application can not inspire the use of this tool. But the effect can be achieved only if the basis for the masks is natural and of high quality.

As a rule, henna is packed in opaque sachets, therefore, it is unfortunately impossible to evaluate the quality of the product before opening the package. Before proceeding to the preparation of the mask, pay attention to the consistency of the raw material - it should be homogeneous. If, however, large particles of the stem or some other inclusions are clearly visible, then this is a second-rate product that will bring little benefit to the hair.

Also pay attention to the color of the powder. It should be marsh with a pronounced herbal smell. If the product has a yellowish or reddish tint, it means that the raw materials were collected out of time (too early or too late). There is also little benefit from such a product. In addition, it can change the color of the hair.

  • with regular use of the mask, the hair stays clean much longer
  • a pronounced root volume appears,
  • hair shaft gradually thickens, so that the hair becomes thicker.

Negative reviews

Among the reviews about the benefits of colorless henna for hair, you can also stumble upon negative comments. Here are the main ones:

  • it is difficult to wash the mask off the hair (even if you wash the hair with water for a long time, it still contains small particles of grass),
  • if the hair is dry and dull, then henna aggravates this problem,
  • After the herbal mask, the hair is very difficult to comb, even if you apply conditioner,
  • the tool has virtually no effect on hair growth.

Does henna hair dye?

hair color after henna dyeing photo

According to experts, henna does not have such a powerful coloring activity to completely replace the natural color of hair. However, the use of henna leads to impressive results, if desired, to enhance the natural color of the hair and saturate it with a beautiful copper luster, as well as add extra stiffness and pomp to the strands.

The dyeing properties of lavsonia powder are given by two biocompounds — yellow-red lavson and saturated green chlorophyll. At the exit we have a fine powder (flour or powder) with a characteristic swampy odor of dirty green color, which is the basis of dyes called “Natural Henna”.

Original Iranian, Sudanese or Indian Lawson is intended for coloring hair in copper / red color. Used henna for hair allows you to get shades ranging from golden to rich chestnut (the final shade depends on the duration of the contact of the hair with the pasty mass of henna).

  • Coloring occurs due to the accumulation of pigment in the upper layers of the hair rods, while it does not penetrate, does not change the structure and does not have a destructive effect.

Combining henna with basma - A way to dye your hair in a black color scheme. After numerous experiments, the modern industry offers to our attention colored henna enriched with various natural dyes, for example, coffee, cocoa, lemon, oak bark, chamomile, etc., which give a completely different color to the paint.

  • The final shade significantly depends on the original hair color.

For example, henna on dark hair has no significant effect on color and can only give a brilliant peculiar shade, acting as an excellent tonic for the care of the scalp. Owners of dark hair can use any shades of colored henna (chestnut, chocolate, burgundy, black, gold) or natural lonsonia powder (from the lower leaves - copper or from the stems - colorless).

Women with blond hair to the selection of colors should be treated with extreme caution, as thin hair can be painted in an unexpectedly bright color. To obtain a golden sheen it is enough to endure the henna of light tones on the hair for about half an hour, and for a more saturated color, the contact should be increased to an hour and a half.

In any case, the use of henna will help make your hair healthy, shiny and well-groomed.

The technique changes slightly when colorless henna is used to strengthen the hair - the method of application is limited to applying a paste of cassia only on the roots, followed by massaging. To achieve the desired result for 1 procedure does not work, the visible effect will be noticeable after 9-10 sessions. Strands will gain density and volume, will be fluffy, light and shiny.

How much to keep colorless henna on the hair?

The duration of the manipulation depends on the properties of the locks and the duration of the treatment. When using colorless henna for dry hair, or the procedure is performed for the first time, you need to hold the mask for 20-25 minutes. If the scalp is prone to fat, the powder was applied more than 3 times, the session time increases to 30-90 minutes. Duration does not depend on whether colorless henna is used on dyed hair or not; it does not affect the existing shade of the strands. The only caveat - Cassia can not be used on the clarified curls, because of this they will become greenish.

Mask with colorless henna for hair

The standard method of using a natural remedy works perfectly well without additives, but the effect can be enhanced by additional components. Essential oils are well suited:

  • from dandruff and fat content - eucalyptus, tea tree, bergamot,
  • at loss - beat, ylang-ylang, mint,
  • against the cross section - chamomile, sandalwood, vetiver,
  • for dry hair - rosewood, frankincense, orange.

Universal mask from colorless henna

  • liquid honey - 35-50 ml,
  • burdock or other vegetable oil (almond, olive) - 30-40 ml,
  • 1 yolk,
  • apple vinegar - 20-25 ml,
  • colorless henna for hair - 50-200 g,
  • hot water - 50-150 ml.

  1. Dilute cassia with water to a slurry.
  2. Add other components to the warm mass.
  3. Rub part of the product into the roots.
  4. Distribute the composition of the hair.
  5. To warm the head with polyethylene and a towel.
  6. After 1.5 hours, wash the curls with shampoo.
  7. Repeat the procedure 1-2 times a week.
  8. The course of therapy is 2-3 months.

How to dye hair colorless henna?

Even the name of the product in question indicates the absence of pigments in its composition. Coloring hair with colorless henna is impossible, cassia powder does not change the shade of the strands. This cosmetic product is used to treat damaged curls, restore their structure and strengthen the bulbs. If you apply cassia on colored strands, their tone will only become brighter and richer.

Hair after colorless henna

The use of the presented natural product has a very positive effect on the condition of the hair. Colorless henna is especially useful for damaged hair, it makes them denser and softer, improves elasticity, and prevents cross-section and fragility. As part of cassia there are components with enveloping properties. They create a microscopic film on the hair rods, which not only protects them from harmful external influences, but also gives a glossy shine. After completing the full course of therapy, the curls look like after bio-lamination.

An undesirable result can be obtained only if colorless henna has been applied to blond hair. Natural blondes should not use cassia powder because it gives the strands a greenish-yellow tone. Artificially lightened curls, especially in the presence of damage and the porous structure of the rods, are more exposed to this action and become dirty marsh.

Which henna is better?

When buying colorless henna, unfortunately, it is impossible to assess its quality. But still buying the tool and coming home, you can check its properties. In the store you can see where the product was manufactured and make an informed choice.

Indian henna has a good quality, as well as produced in Turkey and Egypt. Iranian natural products are also on sale, but users note that their quality has recently decreased. Perhaps this was due to the addition of other herbs.

It should be noted that if the plant was harvested at the right time, qualitatively dried and crushed, the final cosmetic product will be of quality regardless of where the grass is.

But it should be noted that in India there are no European quality standards and production control, so not all components can be written on the makeup of cosmetics and sometimes there are unnecessary additives.

Opening the bag with the powder first thing sniff it. If the smell is herbal, noticeable and strong - the product will have good healing properties. Also the texture of the powder will tell a lot. If it is small and homogeneous, the production was of high quality, but if it is possible to find unground components, the raw materials most likely were not first-class. The powder should have a greenish-brown color, which can still be called marsh. Especially pronounced color after combining dry matter with water. If there is a shade of yellowness in it - the plant was collected at the wrong time and will not contain the maximum amount of useful substances.

If your hair has not been dyed or bleached, correctly colored henna will not change their color at all. In the case of painting, it can be concluded that the product is fake or contains additional components.

How often can I use?

The use of colorless henna to treat and strengthen hair, as in the cases with any other products should be regular, not episodic. To obtain a visible result, it is necessary to do a full course of masks with cassia powder lasting several months.

For normal or fat-prone locks, such masks can be applied 2 times a week. With a dry type of hair you should not repeat the procedure more than once a month.

In order to reduce the drying effect of the product, you can add a few drops of essential oil to the mask or make a mixture based on kefir.
